New Delhi: The King of Pop has finally been laid to rest. Michael Jackson's burial took place at a private ceremony at the Grendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Thursday evening and present in attendance were his friends and family.
Following this, the guests headed to an Italian restaurant about eiight kms away from the cemetery for a private dinner.
Among the first to arrive were his sister Janet Jackson, his three children, actor Macaulay Culkin and good friend Elizabeth Taylor.
His brothers, mother Katherine and father Joe Jackson were also present.
No cameras were allowed inside the cemetery where Jackson was buried in a gold coffin. A make-up artist prepared a wig of long locks for the star's last journey.
It has been almost 70 days since Jackson's death on June 25 and his burial comes after the LA county coroner confirmed that the singer's death was indeed a homicide. In fact, even his death certificate has been re-issued, officially stating the star's death as homicide, though no one has been charged as yet.
