Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for the police party that foiled the terrorist attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur Thursday.

"Attack on the RSS headquarters is an attack on patriotic activities in the country," said Modi, according to an official statement issued here.

Modi was himself an RSS activist before being inducted into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

"Looking at the seriousness of the incident, the prime minister should call an urgent meeting of all chief ministers to discuss the issue," he said.

Three terrorists wearing police uniforms and armed with AK-47 rifles and grenades were shot dead when they tried to barge into the RSS headquarters early Thursday.
