The most versatile actor of our times, Mohanlal is already crowded with a number of adjectives around him starting from a Padmashree, to Colonal and a Dr and many more. Adding to this long list is the new title of Black belt conferred upon him by Kukkivone, the World Taekwondo Headquarters at Korea.
This honorary black belt of taekwondo is given to Mohanlal as per the demands of the Taekwondo federation of India, to popularise the art in the state. According to the office bearers of the association the award is conferred upon the star for his unrelenting spirit towards sports, games and martial arts and his performance in movies that depicted much of the martial arts.
Lal had earlier made exceptional performances in similar movies like 'Yoddha', 'Thacholi Varghese Chekavar', 'Moonam Mura', 'Aryan' and 'Keerthichakra' to name a few. Moreover, this former State 'Gusthi' champion of 1997-78 is also leading the state Celebrity Cricket team.

The honorary black belt of taekwondo is given to Mohanlal as per the demands of the Taekwondo federation of India.
The award will be given away in a colourful function that will be organised soon at Gulfar Convention centre.
