Kolkata: Mohun Bagan coach Steve Darby on Saturday resigned in protest against setting up of a technical committee by the club management to look after football affairs.
Stating that this was unacceptable, Darby said in his resignation letter, "This has created a lot of mental pressure on me which I can't accept."
Club Secretary Anjan Mitra said Darby's resignation would be discussed. Darby was appointed coach four months ago, replacing Subhas Bhowmick.
Darby met players and bade them goodbye.
