Jamshedpur: The eighth day of the sixth edition of the Under-20 I-League saw four exciting encounters played at J.R.D. Tata Sports Complex and Gopal Maidan here on Tuesday and Mohun Bagan, Dempo, Sesa Goa emerging winners. In the first match of the day, Mohun Bagan defeated Churchill Brothers by a solitary goal scored by Prohlad Roy in the 51st minute.
The teams fought hard in the first half but couldn't convert their chances. It was the individual brilliance of Roy who scored from left flank to change the score line. The second half saw Mohun Bagan playing a better possession football. With the win, Mohun Bagan consolidated their position to progress through to the next round with seven points from three matches.
In the second match played, Dempo defeated ONGC 2-1. It was ONGC who broke the deadlock in the 15th minute through a strike from Pawan Thakur. They led till the lemon break. Dempo restored parity just after the break with the goal scored by Clencio Pinto in the 46th minute. The two teams fought hard but it was Dempo who scored the winner in the 55th minute by Myron Fernandes which sealed the match for the Goan side.

In the third match, East Bengal played a goalless match against Tata Football Academy. Both the teams played attacking football but neither could convert their chances. With the draw East Bengal are almost certain of advancing to the next round with 10 points from its quota of four matches. The last match saw Sesa Goa edging past Air India 2-0. Mobin opened the account for Sesa Goa in the 50th minute while Allwyn added to the tally in the 86th minute.
