Moninder ready for narco-test

CNN-IBN

New Delhi: On Sunday, the main accused in the Nithari serial killings, Moninder Singh Pandher was admitted to the Gandhinagar Civil Hospital after he complained of abdominal and chest pain.

Moninder, who is in Gujarat for narco-analysis and brain mapping tests complained of pain at around 1630 hrs IST and was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him fit.

At around 2130 hrs IST, Moninder complained of high sugar levels and was once again taken to the hospital, where doctors administered insulin to make sure he was fit for the narco-analysis test.

The narco-analysis test of both the accused - Moninder and Surinder Kohli - will take place today at 1200 hrs noon. The brain mapping and lie-detector test on Moninder was completed on Sunday and it is now Surinder's turn to take the tests.

The Deputy Director of Gandhinagar's Forensic Science Lab, S L Vaya, has said that both the accused are fully cooperating while undergoing the tests.

"They are undergoing whatever tests we are doing with full cooperation. We have completed Moninder's brain mapping test and Surinder's is halfway through. We will most probably be finished with Surinder's tests on Monday," said Vaya.

The Gandhinagar Civil Hospital discharged Moninder on Monday morning,

"All health parameters of the patient are normal and so he has been discharged," doctors attending to Pandher at the Gandhinagar Civil Hospital were quoted by PTI as saying.

He has been brought back to the Forensic Science Laboratory so that the narco-analysis test can begin.

Meanwhile, the Noida Police now looks forward to handing the case over to the CBI. The crime scene has finally been sealed with only a forensic experts team from Agra being allowed inside the house.

Funnily enough, there seems little logic in sealing the house now four days after parents and media persons were let inside with absolutely no precautions taken to not tamper the forensic evidence.

Nonetheless, forensic experts said they have picked up a few clues from the crime scene.
