India faces an agrarian crisis because of the delayed monsoons. But Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar is away in London for an International Cricket Council meeting. When CNN-IBN contacted Pawar, he simply said that there was no need to panic.
"I don't want to say anything from London," said Pawar when asked about the poor rainfall.
CNN-IBN: Sir, people are worried.
Sharad Pawar: I don't want to create a further panic scare. I don't want to speak from London without talking to the Met Department. It is not proper for me to talk from here. When I will be back... I will be happy to talk to you.
CNN-IBN: When are you back?
Sharad Pawar: 26th (June 26).
CNN-IBN:: Do you feel that your Ministry must be missing you?
Sharad Pawar: I don't think so. You are unnecessarily creating a fear complex.
