CHENNAI: Representatives from various industrial houses on Thursday made donations towards the relief work being done in areas hit by cyclone Thane.
Till Thursday, the total amount received towards the fund touched Rs 114.84 crore. Those who contributed were: Sanjay Jeyawardanavelu, managing director, Lakshmi Machine Works, Coimbatore (Rs 1 crore), P Ramasubramanya Rajah, chairman and MD, Madras Cements Limited (Rs 1 crore), Carnatic vocalist Sudha Raghunathan, trustee, Samudhaaya Foundation, Chennai (Rs 5 lakh), NK Rangath, chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry’s Tamil Nadu State Council (Rs 31.71 lakh), Dr R Nandini, founder trustee of CRG Group, Coimbatore (Rs 25 lakh).
