KUMILY: In a shocking incident, two children were allegedly poisoned to death by their mother who survived an attempt to end her life following timely intervention of the people at Chellarkovil near here on Sunday.
Ajay, 7, and Adith, 5, died before reaching the hospital, police said.
Sini, 27, wife of Roshy Joseph, was admitted to Periyar Hospital, Kumily, where she was under observation. Sini and her children had returned home from the church in the morning.
On not getting any response over phone, one of her relatives reached home, only to find the woman and children lying still. Roshy is running a hotel near Kumily. The family had shifted to Chellarkovil about two years back.
