New Delhi: While Prince rose to fame after his fall in a pit, four-year-old Arti Chavda’s fate had something else in store.
Arti, who fell into a 60-feet deep borewell in a village in Madhya Pradesh, succumbed on Sunday even as rescue teams were on their way.
While two units of the army and experts from ONGC couldn’t reach on time, the fire brigade and a medical team could not save Aarti, who fell into the abandoned well while playing in the ground.
Aarti's body was eventually taken out from the narrow mouth of the borewell around 2010 hrs (IST) by a hook, Bhavnagar District's Additional Divisional Magistrate K Vasava was quoted by PTI as saying.
