Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh anti-corruption office (Lokayukta) got into action and carried out raids on Wednesday morning. The Lokayukta raided the Chief Conservator of Forest BK Singh's residence at Ujjain and Bhopal.

The Lokayukta police say they have recovered Rs 7 lakh in cash and investments and property worth Rs 12 crore. This follows raids in Bhopal where an electricity department clerk was found to be a crorepati.

MP DSP Lokayukta Padam Singh Waghel said, "The raids are going on in Bhopal and Ujjain. The forest officer has amassed wealth disproportionate to his income. He has got several plots and farmhouses, some amounting to Rs 23-24 crore."
