Bhopal: The Narmada river in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh is flowing 15 ft above the danger mark. Many villages in and around the river banks have been cut off due to which the Army has been called out to rescue the stranded people.
Meanwhile, schools have been shut down due to heavy rainfall. The MET department has predicted more rains in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Hoshangabad, Gwalior and Chambal in the next 24 hours.
Temperature in the major cities in Madhya Pradesh have also rise to 31-21 degree Celsius.
