New Delhi: Moving away from the turmoil in Parliament, MPs are being treated to special screenings of controversial Hindi films Parzania portraying the 2002 Gujarat riots and last week’s release Yatra this month.
Parzania, which highlighted the plight of a Parsi family during the communal violence in Gujarat five years ago, had run into rough weather following threats by BJP sympathizers against public screening of the film.
Under the aegis of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, the film would be shown to MPs at the Mavlankar Auditorium on May 11.
The MPs will also get a chance to see Raj Kapoor's classic Shree 420, Tamil blockbuster Marupakkam and Malayalam film Mangamma at Balayogi Auditorum within Parliament House premises in the next ten days.
