New Delhi: Parliamentary politics hit a new low with MPs getting into a scuffle on the floor of the house over the SC/ST Quota Bill on Wednesday. However, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party, whose MPs were involved in the scuffle, remained unapologetic.

Speaking to CNN-IBN Editor in Chief Rajdeep Sardesai, SP MP Naresh Aggarwal said, "Why should we apologise? The people who were trying to stop him from going to the well should apologise."

Bahujan Samaj Party MP Avtar Singh Karampuri said, "There are a handful of MPs who do not want the Parliament to function."

The Rajya Sabha on Wednesday witnessed a scuffle between the two MPs over the issue just after Minister of State for Social Welfare V Narayansamy introduced the Bill. Naresh Aggarwal and Avtar Singh Karampuri came to blows. They pushed each other while fighting over the SC/ST quota bill.
