Click to play videoMumbai: Youngistan's favourite reality TV show MTV Hero Honda Roadies 5.0 reached its final lap on Saturday night.
After competitive rounds, weeks of hard work, back stabbing, humiliation, games, travel and lots of fun the winner was finally announced — Ashutosh Kaushik from Saharanpur.
Popularly known as Ashu on the show, Aashutosh made his way to the top, but it wasn't a smooth ride to the top as he was rejected not once, but twice during the Chandigarh and Delhi auditions.
Now Aashutosh has ambitious plans for his future, "First I'd just like to go home and then maybe try my luck in films," he says.
Bangalore boy and first runner up Nihal Nikam was even slapped by VJ Nikhil Chinnappa during auditions.
"Surviving MTV Roadies 5.0 was very tough. And finally to reach the final two was certainly a great achievement for me, I enjoyed every moment of the show," says Nihal.
And then there were those who were just left recounting their experience and bitter-sweet memories of the journey.
"On this show, there are no friends," says contestant Snehashis Das.
Contestant Anmol Singh recalls, " With five girls staying in one room, there certainly were cat fights, which was too much to handle."
Executive Producer, MTV Roadies 5.0, Raghu Ram discribes the show, "It's a journey of blood, sweat and tears," he says
The fun, the jealousy and crass pranks maybe over for this season, but there is just one promise that keeps the viewers hooked on a promise for more — the next season in MTV Roadies 6.0.The question however is will it have the same flavour.
