New Delhi: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has raked up another controversy, this time over his alleged comment that his party will offer jobs to rape victims if elected to power.
Yadav was addressing a rally at Siddharth Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing the crowd, Yadav said, "Investigations will be ordered against the murderers and rapists and they will be sent to jail. We will help the rape victims and will give them jobs."
The Congress, however, slammed the leader's statement as absurd.
The National Commission for Women, meanwhile, said that the Election Commission should take action against Yadav for his alleged comment.
