Mumbai: A 15-year-old was arrested in Mumbai on Thursday for making a bogus Facebook profile of a model and demanding money from the people on the page of the social networking site, police said. He was arrested under the relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology act, they said.
According to police, the accused made a fake profile of model Anchal Kumar and contacted a person and asked for money.
"The minor asked the person to come to a mall in suburban Chembur to deliver the money. When the person felt suspicious, he informed the police and the minor was arrested later when he came to collect the money," police said.
