Mumbai: Savita Bhabhi, India's first porn cartoon character was banned by the Government in June for allegedly 'corrupting Indian values'. But fans of the website haven't given up trying to get the Bhabhi back in action.

A Mumbai based band Shor Bazaar wants to pay a musical tribute to the controversial character. Shor Bazaar's cheeky track adds to the voice of dissent against the government's move to ban the popular toon porn site.

"We wanted to make something that would catch eyeballs. When we started writing the song the site wasn't so big than what it is now. The fact that it got banned obviously helped us, there is no doubt in that and we are not going to say that we are not being opportunistic about this," said guitarist of Shor Bazaar Joy Dasgupta.

Ironically the site depicting the sexual adventures of Savita was one of the 100 most popular sites in India. The site had almost 80 per cent of the traffic to site originating from India itself.

"Well she is really hot and she doesn't wear undergarments. It's really funny, it's something thats hasn't happened in India before," said Shor Bazaar's guitarist and back vocalist Robin Dasgupta.

The comic was reportedly being printed in 10 Indian languages, before the Government's ban came in. The band doesn't want their song to be taken as some sort of subversive statement.

"Yes there will be people who would find it vulgar or people who will appreciate it for its music. It's a fun song rather than it being a political statement," said base guitarist, Krishna Kumar.
