Crashing into three cars parked on the other side, the accident occurred near Peddar road. One of the victims 16-year-old Shifa died from her injuries on Tuesday.
Shifa and her siblings had gone out and were on their way back home when the accident occured. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered.
In an another incident, an industrialist's son hit a restaurant delivery person on Monday night in Mumbai. While the victim is seriously injured the accused, Ankesh Sahara, has been given bail with a fine of just few thousand rupees.
The accident occurred on Marine Drive and eyewitnesses say Ankesh was drunk at the time.
He is the son of Ruchi Soya owner Dinesh Sahara. The victim, Aniul Haque who worked as a restaurant delivery boy suffered a head injury and multiple fractures. He underwent surgery for eight hours and is now out of danger.
But the victim will be kept under observation for 15 days.
