Click to play videoMumbai: Arts In Motion institute celebrated its annual dance extravaganza 'Dance with Joy' in Mumbai at St Andrews Auditorium on Saturday night. And apart from showcasing dynamically different dance forms under one roof, the concert also paid homage to King of Pop Micheal Jackson.
Dance genres like bboying, krumping, belly dancing and Bollywood were all performed under one roof during Dance With Joy.
While the students of of the institute moved and grooved to set the stage on fire, actress Sandhya Mridul performed to her favorite dance number to add a dash of glamour to the dance event, which came with a social message of celebrating life and fighting cancer.
"It's a nicely choreographed show and I'm glad I was a part of it this year," said the actress.
"Glamour with a message is meaningful, so it's a nice thing to have. People think of doing charity for a cause like cancer which is an expensive disease," said fashion designer, Shaina NC.
The event also paid homage to King of Pop Micheal Jackson and while our celebrity brigade were cheering for young talent on stage, they did admit some moves reminded them of Jackson.
"Micheal Jackson is the King of Pop, every entertainer is inspired by him ," said actress Perizaad Zorabian.
"He was a great performer and larger than life. I'm sure some influence of his work will show on younger generation," said actor Rajeev Paul.
All-in-all a perfect evening celebrating life and the joy dance and music bring to it.
