Mumbai: A 13-year old Mumbai girl was allegedly raped and tortured by her foster father and her own mother.

The parents wanted her to give up claims on a piece of property that she inherited from her grandmother.

“My mother tortures me and asks me to sign cheques. She says if you don't sign I'll cut you into 300 pieces and throw them in Mithi River,” says 13-yr-old girl. (Identity Concealed)

The 13-year-old girl faced trauma as she was brought to a hospital on Wednesday, after allegedly being beaten by her mother and stepfather.

The scars on her body throw light on the how she was tortured. However, the case gets murkier as after examining her, the doctor reported that she has been repeatedly raped.

The girl herself suspects it, but says she isn't sure.

“I found my father sleeping next to me. I have a feeling I was touched and I told my mother but she told me to keep quiet about it,” says the girl.

“I have found that she has been repeatedly raped, over at least three months,” says Gynaecologist, Dr Ivan Rocha.

The girl alleges that her mother and stepfather started physically assaulting her after she was bequeathed property by her grandmother. She started living with her tuition teacher Bryson Menezes, seven years ago, and only moved back home this year. It was Bryson who brought the girl to hospital and he holds the parents responsible.

“Money has changed them. Why are they making this child suffer? She is innocent,” says Victim's Teacher, Bryson.

However, even while the police have registered a case, the matter gets murkier. The girl's parents refused to speak on camera, but on hidden cam, alleged that Bryson has misled the girl.

Meanwhile, the girl will need immediate rehabilitation and counseling to get through the ordeal.
