The 17-year-old younger daughter has said in her statement, "My mother told me to have a physical relationship with the Godman (Hasmukh Rathod). I was shocked.I told her it was impossible. She started blackmailing me emotionally and said it was necessary for the well-being of the family. She then called up my father who too asked me to do what my mother said. The godman insisted that my co-operation was imperative for some rituals. He (the godman) later told me that if I told anyone about it, my entire family would be ruined. The next morning I told my elder sister."
It was then that the elder daughter who had been sexually exploited for nine years confided her plight to an Internet friend, who motivated her to expose her father and the tantrik (godman).
Then the elder daughter approached her uncle and grandmother and told them about the ordeal that she and her sister were going through.
Subsequently, the husband-wife duo and the godman were arrested after a complaint was filed on March 17.
Why did the elder daughter of India's Fritzl speak out after suffering for nine long years? Investigations reveal her male Internet friend - who lived in the vicinity - played a pivotal role in helping her gather the courage to blow the lid off the sordid saga.
