“Someone needs to try and change the society. The young generation needs to step in,” says Advocate Archit Jaykar.
Jaykar is the son of actress Smita Jaykar and is fighting on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) ticket in Girgao.
“My leaders thought I know the problems of the area well and that I must contest the elections,” says Advocate Deenanath Tiwari.
Campaigning on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket in Santacruz , Tiwari is known for defending Gopinath Munde often in the court. This candidature might be party’s reward for his loyalty.
However, for Samajwadi Party’s (SP) candidate Advocate Rizwan Merchant, it was his client and actor Sanjay Dutt who pushed him to take this political plunge.
