Mumbai: A massive fire was reported from Mumbai's Goregaon area on Monday night. The fire spread to over 15 kilometres in the forest area behind Film City.
Fire personnel had to douse the fire with branches of trees in the forest. "The fire is not extinguished with water but with branches of trees. It is taking time as it is dark over here. It will be under control within 2 to 3 hours," a fire officer had said.
In a separate incident on Monday, one person died and 13 were injured after a fire broke out in Mumbai's Mankhurd area. The fire started after an explosion in a gas tanker.
