Mumbai: In August, movie buffs will see get to see yet another Mumbai-centric film, aptly titled Mumbai Meri Jaan.
Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the movie based on the 7/11 train blasts, depicts the triumph of human spirit over terrorism.
The movie will see Soha Ali Khan playing Rupali Joshi, an investigative journalist, who’s caught amidst all the action.
“Rupali is a passion-driven journalist. Amongst TRPs and sensationalism, she feels the need to deliver every event,” Soha said describing her role.
Giving company to Soha are actors Paresh Rawal, K K Nenon, Irfan Khan and R Madhavan, who incidentally was also her co-star in Rang de Basanti.
So are we seeing a Mumbai-centric Rang De Basanti coming our way?
“I think we like to compare films in this country so that we have a benchmark. But it's not fair to compare this film with Rang De Basanti,” Soha clarified.
