Mumbai: Monorail bridge collapses, 7 injured

Mumbai: At least seven persons were injured as a part of monorail bridge collapsed in Wadala area in central Mumbai on Thursday night.

The portion of the bridge along Barkat Ali Road in Shanti Nagar collapsed, Fire Brigade sources said, adding that at least seven persons were injured and were admitted to nearby Sion and KEM Hospitals.

The monorail transit system is currently under construction in central Mumbai.
