Mumbai: Mumbai's controversial top policeman ACP Vasant Dhoble raided a massage parlour in the eastern suburb of Powai. Seven girls were rescued and sent for medical examinations. The parlour owner was arrested for allegedly running a prostitution racket.
For months, Dhoble has been on the warpath, making headlines for raiding and assaulting restaurant staff across the city, be it at hip restaurants, small eateries, private parties, or dance bars. At a juice centre in Vile Parle, his weapon of choice was a hockey stick for assaulting the waiters.
Speaking to CNN-IBN last week, ACP Dhoble had said, "The police don't frame the laws. The laws are framed by the legislators. The police's job is to simply implement the laws."

Seven girls were rescued and the parlour owner was arrested for allegedly running a prostitution racket.
He also said that he was only targeting establishments and not the people. "The patrons who visit such establishments need not worry," ACP Dhoble said.
