Mumbai professor found dead in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A highly decomposed body of a middle-aged man, which has been identified as Arun Kamble, was found in the Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Kamble, who was Marathi HoD at University of Mumbai, went missing on December 14.

His family arrived in Hyderabad on Monday and identified the body.

Police said the body was spotted on the lake bank by some locals on Sunday who later alerted them.

Kamble, who came to Hyderabad on December 13 to take part in a seminar at a Scientific Institute in Saifabad, suddenly went missing the next day, after which his colleagues filed a missing complaint with Saifabad police.

“They came from Mumbai and stayed at a hotel in Saifabad. “Some of Kamble's colleagues filed a complaint that he has gone missing. We are still investigating the matter,” a police officer said.
