Mumbai: TV journos injured in hit-and-run cas

Mumbai: Another hit and run accident took place in Mumbai on Sunday morning. The mishap involved two television journalists. One of them was seriously injured.

Shailendra Mohan and Dharmendra Tiwari, two journalists from the news channel NDTV, had stopped their car near the Kherwadi junction of the western express highway around 0500 hrs.

They were shooting for a story, when a speeding tempo went out of control and hit them. The tempo hit a street light first and then swerved towards them.

The driver of the errant vehicle escaped without checking on the victims.

One of the journalists, Shailendra Mohan is believed to have suffered serious injuries on the leg and has been admitted to Lilawati hospital. Journo Tiwari and another person, who is the channel's video journalist, are also suffered minor injuries.

The police are investigating the case and have promised to nab the culprit soon.
