Mumbaikars gear up for a smooth ride

Mumbai:The Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation has said it will ensure pothole-free roads for commuters. Potholes in Mumbai have been causing problems to millions of commuters everyday, especially during the monsoons.

BMC had given August 18 as the deadline to contractors to fill the potholes across the city. On Saturday, senior civic officials had conducted an inspection of the repair jobs. The Municipal Corporation had spent crores during the monsoons, repairing Mumbai's roads, which are replete with potholes.

The BMC had also said that it would fill all the potholes in the city before the Ganpati festival, which starts on September 3.
