Mumbai: Age and health may have failed 82-year-old Doris Lobo, but its done little to diminish her resolve.

Even though she can barely walk, Doris is determined to make her vote count. And all this, to inspire the younger generation - a belief that actions surely speak louder than words.

"They all should see what I'm doing and follow my example,” says Dorris.

Her legs may have given up. But her spirit remains indomitable. Her daughter Anina, however, isn't pleased with the arrangements made for senior citizens in the Mumbai civic polls.

"They should make arrangements on the ground floor or have a lift,” says Anina.

But the odds certainly don't deter the old lady. With just a little bit of help, Doris finally achieves her goal and proudly sports the little black dot on her finger which is a mark of the achievement and her power of one.
