Mumbai: It was not a reel show of Gandhigiri rather a real one for actor Dilip Prabhavalkar, who plays the character of Mahatma Gandhi in Lage Raho Munnabhai.
The actor, traveling from Pune to Mumbai in a private bus on Monday morning, was shocked to see that the bus was screening the pirated version of Lage Raho Munnabhai, just ten days after it's release.
Dilip called up Vidhu Vinod Chopra's office who immediately informed the anti-piracy cell. The bus was intercepted and the CD seized.
"Maybe they didn't recognise me. I was part of Munnabhai that's what prompted me to do it," Dilip Prabhavalkar said.
Prabhavalkar's experiments with Munnabhai certainly helped him to get to the truth this time. So does that mean the filmi Gandhi will take up Gandhigiri in real life too?
"Ideally I would like to follow his philosophy and his thinking in real life but don’t know how successful I’ll be in real life," Dilip said.
