THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The accused in a double murder case was found hanging on Friday morning in a rubber plantation at Kavadithala, near Vazhayila, here. Ratheesh Kumar, 23, of Thekkevila Veedu, Darsan Nagar, Mukkola, was the deceased. Ratheesh Kumar was the fifth accused in the double murder case in which notorious goons Kokkode Syam and and Praveen were hacked to death at Aramkallu, Karakulam, three months ago. Ratheesh Kumar was released on bail a month ago. He was missing since Thursday evening.
Police said that Ratheesh Kumar was found hanging by 9 am by the people residing near the rubber plantation. They also said that the death might have occurred in the night between Friday and Saturday.  “The death is a case of suicide and there is nothing mysterious about it,“ police said.
Ratheesh Kumar was the son of the late Harikumaran Nair and survived by his mother and a sister. His body was released to relatives after post-mortem.
