CHENNAI: Understanding of god
I look at god as a higher power who helps by guiding us. We need to have faith in something because I believe that we can’t go through life without any faith.

Religious practices
I’ve been brought up to follow the Bible word for word. But I’m not close minded about other religions. I understand and also agree that basically every religion says the same thing in one way or the other. I go to church for mass, communion and prayers, and do follow the customs of Christianity. It’s not necessary but is my way of reaffirming my faith.

Faith in miracles
I think there’s a miracle in everything that happens in life. The smallest things in life, which we seldom notice, are usually the real life-changing miracles. I believe that life itself is a miracle.

Favourite pilgrimage spots
I go camping with my friends from church and enjoy that kind of reaching out to god. My kind of pilgrimages are retreats and fun stuff which can be related to religion is a non-cheesy way.

Take on meditation
I have never understood how meditation relates to religion. It is a connection that has always stumped me because my understanding of meditation is just that it provides us with a path to find inner peace. It has nothing to do with faith; it just calms us. I’ve never tried meditating, though, in a way, music is my form of meditation. It is not only enjoyable but helps me relax.
