Click to play videoNew Delhi: The 51st annual Grammy Awards will be held in Los Angles on Sunday evening. And it seems the hip hop world has a lot to smile about at this years Grammy's.
American rapper Lil Wayne tops this year's list with eight Grammy nominations and is followed closely by Rapper's Jay-Z, Ne-Yo and Kanye West who've earned six nominations each.
British band Coldplay have been nominated for seven awards including Album Of The Year for Viva La Vida, Song of the Year and Record of the year.
Interestingly, Sri Lankan born singer Maya Arulpragasam who calls herself M.I.A is also up for record of the year for her track Paper Planes.
There's also Indian representation this time at the Grammy's. Slide guitarist Debashish Bhattacharya and classical vocalist Lakshmi Shankar have been nominated for their albums under the Best Traditional World music category.
