New Delhi: Even as the parties await to make a headway in the peace talks between the Natoionalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah) and the Indian government, the intelligence agencies have reported that Naga militant groups are rearming themselves.
The outfit is reportedly procuring sophisticated weapons, arms and ammunition mostly from China. Alarmed by the report, the Home Ministry has ordered the National Investigation Agency to immediately look into it.
In fact, the NIA has filed an FIR against some NSCN members and probing the extent of the organisation's links with China. The peace talks between the Centre and the outfit has been in a deadlock for the past 13 years.
