Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said he was saddened by the news of bomb blasts in Hyderabad and condoled the loss of lives in the terror attack. "News of blasts in Hyderabad is saddening. My condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. Praying for peace & calm there," Modi tweeted.

The blasts rocked a busy commercial hub of Hyderabad close to a crowded bus stand at Dilsukhnagar. Meanwhile, police administration in Gujarat has been put on high alert in the wake of the explosions. Gujarat's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) of the state have been asked to be in contact with their counterparts in Hyderabad, he added.
