Mumbai: In an attempt to promote their forthcoming film A Wednesday, actors Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher boarded a local train in Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon.

The film revolves around a terrorist who threatens to bomb Mumbai city.

The actors traveled from Churchgate station to Andheri in order to pay their tributes to all the people who lost their lives in the 7/11 Mumbai train blasts. The film also addresses the issue of terrorism in everyday life

Kher says, "I think it has become more visible. I think we have become more immune to it. We have become immune to the deaths of lots of people and I don't know how right it is to say that is has become a part of our lives and that we would like to get rid of the situation. So this is an attempt that Naseer and me are traveling to raise question about what is happening around us."

"It is a film that talks about its times. It is an entertaining film but is it not an escapist fair," added Shah.

Anupam Kher plays the role of, Prakash Rathod, Commissioner of Police, Mumbai and Naseeruddin Shah dons the role a terrorist who holds the city to ransom, a character which required him to get under the terrorists psyche.

Shah said, “They are the kind of people who can get lost in the crowd. They are the sort of people who you would not remember if you saw them. They are insignificant. They are faceless and that is also the definition of the innocent man in the crowd and I think this is where the film succeeds brilliantly. It portrays the terrorist as one such man, who is grieved and injured."

A Wednesday is directed by debutante Neeraj Pandey.

The film is scheduled to release on the September 5.
