National Award: Girish Kulkarni wins Best Actor for 'Deool'

New Delhi: Girish Kulkarni was named the best actor for his performance in the Marathi film 'Deool' at the 59th National Awards announced here Wednesday.

Directed by Umesh Vinayak Kulkarni, 'Deool' focuses on the dilemma of educated youth in villages.

With a star cast like Nana Patekar, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Sonali Kulkarni and a cameo by Naseeruddin Shah, 'Deool' was released on November 4 and had become an instant box office success.

Girish Kulkarni was named the best actor for his performance in the Marathi film \'Deool\'.
