New Delhi: Uma Bharati is making a final attempt to return to the BJP. Ronen Sen, was let off by the Lok Sabha Privileges Committee over his 'headless chicken' remark. Cricketer Mohammad Kaif has apologised to the newspaper photographer he had assaulted.

The maverick sanyasin, Uma Bharati is making a final attempt to return to the BJP, with the support of Gujarat CM, Narendra Modi. She had been asked by the party to leave on disciplinary grounds. Modi issued a statement on Thursday welcoming Uma Bharati back in the BJP fold. He was the one who set the ball rolling by asking BJP President Rajnath Singh to take her back in the party fold.
Lok Sabha Lets Ronen Sen Off Hook
Indian envoy to the US, Ronen Sen, was let off by the Lok Sabha Privileges Committee over his 'headless chicken' remark, with some critical comments against him and an advisory that a diplomat should be discreet. The Committee, had summoned Sen last month after the remark rocked Parliament during the Monsoon Session. Ronen Sen had tendered an unconditional apology.
Kaif Apologises To Newspaper
Cricketer Mohammad Kaif has apologised to the newspaper photographer he had assaulted. Earlier, the Chandigarh Police registered a complaint against Kaif for assault and causing injury. Kaif had manhandled a photographer outside the Piccadilly theatre when the photographer tried to click his pictures. According to eyewitnesses, an angry Kaif also got into a scuffle with journalists who tried to intervene.
