Nagpur: In one of the biggest community marriages, over 2,800 couples from different communities will tie the knot in Amravati. Actress Navneet Kaur will also tie the knot with Independent MLA Ravi Rana in this event.
"A total of 2835 couples, 900 Buddhist, 600 tribal, 350 Muslim, 150 physically handicapped and 54 visually impaired, are set to enter the Guinness and Limca Record Books during the community marriage," said Chief organiser and Independent MLA from Badnera, Ravi Rana, who himself is among the grooms.
Rana said the community marriage has been organised to help the bereaved families of farmers, who had committed suicide in the Vidarbha region.
