New Delhi: NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and colleague Praful Patel were back in Mumbai on Saturday where party members held a meeting with them.

Twenty four hours after the NCP put the UPA on notice, with both leaders offering to resign from the UPA for not being consulted on important matters, Praful Patel on Saturday reiterated that the NCP was still a part of the alliance.

Pawar is expected to pay Uddhav Thackeray a visit at Lilavati Hospital where the latter underwent angioplasty on Friday.

Tension between the NCP-UPA came to the fore on Friday with Pawar and Patel staying away from work.

Although the Maratha strongman said that he had no problems with Rahul Gandhi, he mentioned in a letter to the PM that issues at the local level remained a flashpoint.
