Mumbai: Bollywood's new chocolate boy Neil Nitin Mukesh is on a roll having signed on a number of films. His second release this year is Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail in which he has also done a full monty!
Manisha Mahaldar got the actor talking about exposing on film and working with the issue based filmmaker Bhandarkar.
Manisha Mahaldar: In Jail we will be seeing you do a full monty on screen. So what really made you do it? Was it the script requirement or just confidence over your body?
Neil Nitin Mukesh: Well totally, it was required because just imagine what kind of script would demand you to get full monty? It was very difficult.
Manisha Mahaldar: So what is so different about working with Madhur Bhandarkar? Do you feel he is hundred per cent accurate about his portrayal of reality?
Neil Nitin Mukesh: He is just so real in his filming ,sometimes you tend to get carried away and make larger than life cinema but he just sticks to his concept like a magnet.
Manisha Mahaldar: We also hear that you wore the same clothes for a month without washing to fit into the look of the film. How far is that true?
Neil Nitin Mukesh: Well partly, as it was not for a month but for 6 days. I didn’t take a bath or so, I didn’t want to get out of my character, so that helped me to remain in continuation with my character.
Manisha Mahaldar: Thank you, all the best for jail.
