New Delhi: Government sources have claimed that an all-party meeting is likely to be called soon to discuss amendments proposed by the Justice JS Verma Committee to the anti-rape law. A new bill amending the anti-rape law could be presented in the Budget Session of Parliament, they said.
This will happen after the Cabinet makes changes to the existing law based on feedback from different ministries on the Justice Verma Committee's suggestions.
However, changes to the Juvenile Justice Act are unlikely as the Verma Committee too has suggested no changes to it.
