Five students of Amity University, pursuing B.Tech were arrested on Thursday for allegedly disturbing peace on the campus and instigating peers to resort to violence.

The five students jumped the locked gates and asked other students to join them in protesting against the university administration.

The five students who have been arrested are Ashutosh Srivastava, Animesh Dwivedi, Mohd Dawood Ahmad, Samar Ali, and Abhijeet Singh.

Lucknow: Classes suspended in LU due to laptop distribution ceremony

The teaching will remain suspended in the Lucknow University on Saturday.

The decision has been taken as the laptop distribution ceremony is being organised on the campus.

Lucknow: Special bus service for university students

A special bus service will be started for the students and staff of the Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University.

The service will be introduced from July 30. The bus will ply thrice a day from Bhitoli and Dubagga.

The bus will be available between 8:30am and 9am, 1pm and 2pm, and between 5:30pm and 6pm.

Two waiting sheds will also be provided at the university entrance. The decision was taken in view of the expected heavy flow of students for the new session.

Lucknow: Army Public School organises annual prize distribution ceremony

The Army Public School celebrated its 26th annual prize distribution ceremony on Thursday.

Students were awarded with medals and certificates for their excellence in different fields.

The students also presented a cultural program along with adding a splash of western culture by performing “Salsa” dance.
