Dubai: Sauber has confirmed Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg will be one of its two drivers for the 2013 Formula One season.
The 25-year-old German made his F1 debut in 2010 with Williams and captured a pole position in his maiden year. As a Force India driver, Hulkenberg is 12th in the drivers' championship. His best finish this season was fourth at the Belgian Grand Prix.
Japan's Kamui Kobayashi and Mexico's Sergio Perez currently drive for Sauber. The team said in a statement on Wednesday it would announce a second driver later. Perez is moving to McLaren next year.
Hulkenberg in a statement said he was "really looking forward to working with the Sauber F1 team. It's a well-placed team and very competitive."
