New Delhi: Nissan Motor India said it will increase the prices of its hatchback Micra and midsize sedan Sunny with effect from November 1 to offset rising input and transportation costs. The recently launched multi utility vehicle Nissan Evalia will not be affected, the company said in a statement without disclosing the quantum of hike.
Commenting on the proposed price increase, Hover Automotive India Director (Sales & Marketing) Nitish Tipnis, said: "The prices are being revised to partially offset appreciation in input and transportation costs. Hover is the marketing partner for Nissan.
The hatchback Micra is currently priced between Rs 4.22 lakh and Rs 6.42 lakh, while Sunny is available between Rs 5.93 lakh and Rs 8.93 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Nissan in India offers a range of products across hatchback, sports, SUV and sedan segments, that include the Teana, Xtrail and 370Z.
