Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar cast his vote in Bakhtiyarpur in Patna district on Monday morning in the fourth phase of polling in Bihar. After casting his vote Kumar castigated his rival and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad for violating the model code of conduct.
"Laluji is a habitual law breaker. He can't change. He has been doing it since years. He takes pride in breaking the law," Kumar said after casting his vote.
RJD chief Lalu and his wife Rabri Devi walked inside a polling booth in Digha Assembly constituency to cast votes in the Bihar Assembly polls with their security, which is a violation of the model code of conduct. The Election Commission has ordered an enquiry.
FIRs for violating the model code of conduct have also been registered by Digha Block Development Officer Ashok Kumar at the Patna Airport police station against Lalu and Rabri.
Meanwhile, the fourth phase of polling is on in 42 constituencies including Patna. So far the voting has been peaceful.
