New Delhi: The Bihar Opposition stalled the assembly proceedings on Wednesday demanding Nitish Kumar's resignation, a day after IBN 7 exposed how the high and mighty of Bihar had all managed to get huge plots of land from the Bihar Industrial development Authority. They criticised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar saying that he had lost the moral right to rule.

RJD leader Ram Kripal Yadav said, "the Chief Minister should set up a CBI enquiry into the allegations of the land scam."

The rot which runs across the ruling BJP-JD(U) combine in Bihar has given an opportunity to all those opposition leaders who were staring at political marginalisation in the Bihar. So while Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD is planning state wide demonstrations against Nitish, LJP Chief Ram Vilas Paswan is seeking the resignation of the Bihar Chief Minister.

"Nothing can happen in Bihar without the knowledge of the Chief Minister. Nitish is directly involved," said Paswan.

The people who benefitted from the Bihar Industrial development authority land scam are daughter of state education minister PK Shahi who got 87,120 sq ft of land.

Daughter of Afzal Amanullah, state chief secretary in irrigation department, received 87,120 sq ft of land.

Son of another JD U MP Jagdish Sharma got15,500 sq ft.

The BJP is not far behind in the land hunt with former BJP MLA Awdhesh Narayan Singh's son aquiring 217800 sq ft of land.

JD(U) leader Shivanand Tewari said, "It is all part of a political conspiracy to tarnish the image of Nitish Kumar."

Whether this is a conspiracy or not it is bound to test Nitish's claim of being Mr clean himself.
