Mumbai: Funny guy Vinay Pathak visited an FM radio station in Mumbai to promote his new film Straight - A Tedhi Medhi Love Story. The film is a twisted love story revolving around Pinu Patel who runs an Indian restaurant in London and is still single.
This out of the box Hindi film co-starring Vinay Pathak and Gul Panag - reportedly revolves around a man who is confused about his sexuality.
"Pinu Patel is a restaunter. He owns a restaurant in London, it's called Gaylord and it's an Indian restaurant. He is a very nice guy, he's of 37 years old and he's still looking for love in life which he is failing miserably in," said Vinay.
"Every time he wants to get married the girl runs away for some reason or the other. But he takes it upon himself, because his self esteem goes out of the window every time he gets rejected," He added.
As the story continues Pinu finds himself getting rather confused about his sexual orientation.
"He's not good with rejection and in that kind of situation something happens to Pinu which compels him to rethink and question his choices. He fears he might not be all of straight. And that's when the journey of the story starts. He tries to discover himself, he tries to find himself out. He tries to know his identity and who he is and that is what constitutes into an interesting story," Vinay described.
But what everyone is really talking about is a little kissing scene between the two lead actors. A first for Vinay but definitely not for the actress.
"I have done it before so it is a non-issue for me. But for Vinay it's his first kiss so I told him don't worry, leave it for me I'm a pro let me handle it," said Gul.
Straight - A Tedhi Medhi Love Story directed by Parvati Balagopalan is slated to release on March 20.
